We haven’t gotten our invitation to a Luau party this summer, but we think Super Power Brooklyn is the next best thing. This bar located on Nostrand Ave has numerous tiki drinks for patrons to choose from including some bar bites. Plus, we’re loving their colorful outdoor seating area.
#2 King Tai Bar
Apparently, this bar was a “Chinese American Fish Kitchen” that served the Crown Heights residents throughout the 80’s and 90’s, but now serves tropical drinks as well as music on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. They also have happy hour everyday until 8pm!

#3 Two Saints
This establishment first opened three years ago, but their signature cocktails will make you think otherwise. The cocktails are crafted from old and new concepts that embody both elegance and style in all nine cocktail options. Plus they offer small plates and pizza along with their options of wine, draught, and bottle beer — we’d say this is a win-win.
I’ve actually been…but want to go again. I went on a Monday night and my cousin and I were one of five people in the bar (it was a slow night, clearly). But, based on their photos, I’d definitely say I’m putting this bar on my to-do list.

Based on the menu, the Bearded Lady Brooklyn has some interesting options for drinks, including John the Beachcomber, where the menu warns a limit of two, since they’re so strong.
#6 Ode to Babel
We just want to go there for the yellow wall… and the drinks! Plus, we hear this place can be used as a platform for all creatives to showcase their art from film, music, media, performance and more. Love it!
This bar’s modern design means there are chances for Insta-worthy pics while sipping on a colorful cocktail, wine or beer. Including fun drinks like Ziggy Stardust, Halloween Jack, or even The Man Who Fell To Earth. They’ve even got a micro-winery on site at BKW where visitors can pick up locally crafted wine to sip on at home.
I’m all about white-tile and this is what the outside of Weather Up Brooklyn looks like, but even better, online it’s described as a speakeasyike atmosphere. My nana use to have this area named “paradise” in her backyard filled with bricks and old outdoor furniture where they’d all drink and laugh and that’s exactly what this place looks like. I’m a big tequila fan, so I’ll take a “El Gaucho,” please!
Live music, cocktails, and a cute outdoor seating area? Yes, please. This bar is owned by three touring musicians, Richard, Roforrósita, and Arthur and offers live music from gypsy jazz to Brazilian forró. They’ve got happy hour specials, dinner, brunch, beer, cider, cocktails, wine, coffee, and more!
#10 Diamond Reef
This place seems like the epitome of a relaxed night in Brooklyn with its perfect mix of retro and tropical décor. The outside looks like a basic bar, but once you’re inside and take a quick look at the back patio, you can tell it’s anything but basic. Reallyyyyy want to get my hands on one of their Spicy Canary’s! (Tequila, mango, lime and it’s spicy…yum!)
