InterContinental San Diego Opening August 28th

Luxury at its finest is what you’ll find at any InterContinental Hotels and in just a few weeks, San Diego will be home to the new InterContinental San Diego. With 400-rooms, this Bayfront property is bringing sophistication to the downtown San Diego area.

InterContinental held a special media and press preview of what the public can expect and the event was held in their sister property, InterContinental Downtown Los Angeles. This building is simply to die for, with breathtaking 360-views from their restaurants and rooftop bar, this location does not disappoint.

I have made the dare defying climb up the glass elevator several times before, all the way to Spire 73. The tallest open-bar in the Western Hemisphere! So I was beyond exited for this event that was held at La Boucherie, located on the 71st floor of the hotel. Let me tell you, the views from this restaurant are absolutely stunning. Although InterContinental San Diego won’t be as tall, one can only imagine what the views will be like, serene and calm, overlooking the bay.

The remarkable dinner set up was beautiful, the anticipation of what savory dishes I was about to indulge in certainly peaked my appetite. Before I get to the dinner breakdown, I must acknowledge the incredible hospitality I experienced from the amazing staff. My wine glass was never empty, and the attention to detail the wait staff has was truly one of a kind. I can’t stress this enough, the importance of hospitality in a luxury hotel and restaurant is what makes for a memorable experience.
