Skin, it’s quickly become the top beauty focus. Everyone I know has tried microneedles and swears by them, so when my psoriasis started to spread to parts of my forehead, I was open to trying anything. I discovered Nannette de Gaspé’s Art of Noir skincare collection and decided to test it out.
I was hesitant about using any products right away because I was worried about how my skin would react. After testing the collection for a week I noticed that my skin didn’t react in the way I thought it would due to past experiences when changing my facial regimen. The facial cleanser, Essence Noir, has an herbal scent that I absolutely love. It doesn’t exfoliate, but it does make your skin feel completely rejuvenated and refreshed after each use. The facial cleansers texture is smooth but can get a little messy so make sure to keep a hand towel nearby.
The facial cream, Baume Noir, is also amazing. The smell has an herbal scent as well, but it’s not overwhelming. The texture is smooth and thick and I used pea sized amounts in my t-zones and it spreads evenly. I use the facial cleanser twice a day but only use the facial cream at night. My skin feels refreshed and brand new after each usage. Fortunately, I have not experienced any breakouts and my psoriasis has not inflamed.
Unfortunately, I had to stop using The Art of Noir roller after testing it a few times due to the microneedles. I didn’t find the needles to be delicate enough for my sensitive skin. However, if your skin isn’t as sensitive as mine you should be able to handle the tool. Overall, I would definitely recommend this product to women my age (30-years-old) who have tougher skin and are looking to try something new. You never know, you might just find your new beauty regimen—needles and all.
